About the role

You'll develop robust backend services supporting our payment systems, user authentication flows, and content delivery infrastructure. Working with our core team, you'll implement scalable API endpoints, database models, and third-party integrations that power critical platform functionality. Your focus will include building secure payment processing pipelines, designing efficient data access patterns, and optimizing system performance. This contract position involves both maintaining existing services and developing new features to enhance our creator toolkit. You'll collaborate closely with product and frontend teams to ensure cohesive implementation.

About your background and skills

Proven experience building production backend systems with Node.js/TypeScript and modern frameworks. Strong understanding of database design principles and query optimization. Experience implementing secure payment processing and financial transactions. Knowledge of cloud infrastructure (AWS) and serverless architecture. Background creating well-documented APIs and maintainable codebases. Familiarity with authentication systems and security best practices. Ability to work independently while coordinating effectively with a distributed team. Pragmatic problem-solving approach and attention to detail. Interest in creator economies and digital product monetization beneficial but not required.
